Porting code from CoD to CoD:UO

I'm trying to port the strat time function from the vCoD PAM mod to the UO PAM mod. I'm sure this is very simple for someone with experience but I'm not a programmer.
I've tried copy and pasting the code from the respective files into the locations that they should be, but it's not working properly. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me with this. It wouldn't take more than 10 minutes for someone with the knowledge to get this working.
