Finally got CoD4..now for that bounce stuff

If I do that in this case (with the codjumper_training map) I get the sumname mismatch error.

Have you been able to run ANY custom maps at all? If not, the usermaps folder might even be in the wrong directory. Mine is:

C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\usermaps

If you have it in the root directory, C:\Program Files etc... then it might now work. Not too sure though

Yep, I have it in the right folder this being: "C:\Games\CoD4\usermaps"

Your directory should look like "C:\Games\CoD4\usermaps\mp_codjumper_training\" and inside mp_codjumper_training should be the 2 fastfiles and and .iwd.

Then open CoD4, load CJ mod. Then into console /set g_gametype cj; map mp_codjumper_training.
If that doesn't work for you I have no idea whats going wrong :S

Edit: I think I found your problem, you're playing on version 1.0 of CoD4? (Which doesn't support custom maps properly.) Update to version 1.7 and it will work fine.

That's the toggle for fps (you just need to press it right after you hit the bounce) .. of course you can adjust the key you use and the fps. Although, I'm sure the pipeline bounce can be done with just 125 no rpg or fps switch - keep trying it!

Toggle FPS is pretty advanced though. Just use RPG for the easier bounces till you get bouncing done properly.

If you're not getting enough height from the bounce then it means you're jumping from too low. On that bounce, you want to be jumping as soon as possible rather than running a moderate distance down the roof.

Yeah, once you become a better strafer, its possible to do it with 60fps sniper no rpg!

Ok, I'll have to practise the strafe more then. I got upto 310 but couldn't perform the 320, so more practise required

310 units? If you can't do the pipeline bounce, 310 doesn't seem right Are you using old school or RPG strafing?

Indeed, the Pipeline bounce is MUCH easier than 310!
