black ops Rpg Jump type of thing?

i noticed that when you
1 shoot a cross bow
2 shoot a ballistic knife
3 get hit by shotgun shots
4 get hit by c4
you will get moved after shooting/being hit. Does anyone know if it is possible that any of these will give you a vertical boost?

I also noticed this with the crossbow/ballistic, I tried it with the ballistic and didn't really notice any difference in jump height. Either you have to time it exactly right (I doubt it), or it is just very little/no extra jump height (more likely).

Either way, you cannot sprint + use them, and I can't think of many places in black ops where even a normal rpg jump would help to get you to a new place tbh..

i have also noticed, that you get more hieght from a dive then from a jump, or at least on console you do. if your on console try to jump onto an exploding red barrel. then try to dive on one. diving on one is possible

i noticed that the grim reaper gives a BIG boost. like much more then anything else in bo. but does this convey to vertical movement?

I would imagine that they've become wise to vertical boosts from weapons since the use of RPG jumps and in WaW shotgun jumps (before they patched it), so I would be very surprised if you can get a boost from any sort of weapon by simply firing it downwards.

yeah, they might have been, but wouldnt it be smarter for them to just get rid of weapon recoil?

But then the whole gameplay would get way to easy.

Indeed, you need recoil for realism and to add a greater amount of skill involved in playing.

And if you don't want to play with recoil I'm sure there are many mods without it.

Yes they have. eg the deagle, when you shoot the whole gun aims to the air for a moment instead of just staying where it was before shooting.

There's like 0 recoil in CoD4 and other games after that, compared to CoD1 and CoD2 that is.

i worded that really bad, what i meant was get rid of the recoil that moves your character backwards, of course keep the recoil that tilts your characters aim.

They do that with all the 'normal' weapons anyway.
