CoD2 mappack

Post by <LT>YosemiteSam[NL] » April 4th, 2011, 10:24 am

I think I made a mappack for cod2 ? I Put all files from the map iwd's into 1 big iwd (ofcourse all files are in the correct folder).
A few questions though ;

- Does this even work or is there a better way ?
- Do I have to put all arena files into 1 arena file ? (I think I have to)
- Do I have to merge all soundalias files ?

The only downside to this is when you dont have a http mirror, or cant use one (cod2 1.0), cause then you have to download one big mappack, instead of multiple small maps which only download when a map starts.
Personally, with the rate at which bandwidth is increasing nowadays, i dont see the problem of one big mappack file. Just make sure it stays within reasonable size (say 50meg), so ppl that have an error while downloading dont have to redownload a lot.
LMGTFY!

Its not a glitch... Its the future!

I tried the mappack but it didn't work.
I typed the mapname into console (along with devmap/map ofcourse) but it doesn't find any of the maps inside the mappack1.iwd. Any thoughts on this ?
