Your server is running then. Use dedicatet "0" to stay in the game.

Why not?

Because he'll inevitably be thwarted by port forwarding, which screws the vast majority of us over when trying to host a dedicated server.

Indeed, that is a problem There are ways around that though.

what are dedicated servers? when the server belongs to the company thing instead of the public hosting their own? sorry if i got it completely wrong

I can create dedicated servers almost perfectly, the only problem being that they don't show up in the server list for others to see. However most of the times I only want friends joining anywayn, not randomers, therefore I can just give them the IP to connect to.

howcome on cod4 on pc i can never play a normal game lol where i can lvl up and unlock new stuff...every thing i join has its different modes and level systemits kinda frustrating.
