Double post!

and a note you may want to add to the written tutorial: stacking without surroundings. like umm... "free stacks" i guess youd call them. Such as the stack to get out of vacant where one must balance on the stacker rather than simply holding foward. Feel like that would make a good addition to this already awesome guide of PC jumping

Edit: looked over it again. the fps switch section seems sorta weak.
"FPS Switching is the technique that allows you to hit bounces and then land on certain places with a proper manner."
FPS Switching is the technique that allows you to hit bounces and then land on certain places with a proper manner...
- bind commands
- describe use and suggested keys for binds (new people won't know these things)
- FPS switches allow you to change your frame rate mid-bounce to achieve areas or landing spots that would otherwise not be accessible with a single, set FPS.
- When exactly to switch your fps (directly following the contact with an object)

something along those lines sounds better to me

Everything you said can be assumed from watching the video tutorial but ok, since this is like 2nd request to add a text written explanation too, I'll add more info to everything and some useful commands.

If you want it to start getting complicated, maybe a stack bouncing section? :P

Hm, I could add that, I might make a video tutorial on that, you mean, climb bounces right?

Whoops yeah, knew it wasn't stack bouncing but couldn't remember the correct name. A video would be good for that (I've had at least 1 request for it in the past).

I mean, adding information that would be useful for somebody looking to learn never hurts.

Noticed something wrong. Should be 'load' I assume [2nd sentence].

Code: Select all

/bind V "openscriptmenu cj save" - Saves position by pressing the button V(No knifing required)
/bind F "openscriptmenu cj save" - Loads position by pressing the button F

Adding on to the "complicated section" you could also add scripts such as the ones that Dan has made (if he doesn't mind) for strafing and rpg strafing. It's a controversial topic, but I figured I may as well through the suggestion out there.

I might write a small section on wallspeed (it might be a suggestion for a future tutorial video, too).
