That mod is made by ourselves due to the fact that the hungarian ignorant w/e made it only server side and weren't willing to give it away!

Original mod was indeed by emu, i used values from his mod, but i couldnt get the gsc files, so i recreated them, using what i seen in his server.

The v3beta2 mod works better than the emu mod, as it supports records per map, and, does not corrupt the hud. It also has a measurement tool added.

v4alpha is the version im currently busy working on, which features a boost for those unlucky on 125, so they can jump like they were on 333.

Also still working on the concept of bringing bunnyhopping back, gonna take a while, and adding some checkpoints which show your current time and the fastest time on map.
All is possible, but it needs to be done, and i only have so much motivation..


Also, much thanks go out to lev/waywaaaaard for setting up the first version of the mod, from which i copied the guns.
Also copied the script from his jm_defrag for use with the boost for 125 fps, although heavily modified, still thx.

i still see no sense in maxheight. if its constant, theres no need to know it.
OnPlayerLanding can be done by checking every 0.05 seconds for !isonground and isonground
several months ago, i tried it. it was returning only approximate values - due to .05 seconds, again.

I dont think there is such a thing as "the best defrag mapper", as there is no best jump mapper.

Different people like different things, and, as they tend to say the best mapper makes the best maps, the best mapper is purely personal.

Also, Smokeyass is already making some maps for defrag, and they look quite good. (not as good as this map though, but hey, as your first map you ever make is lev facilities..... :D)

Also, all jumpmappers map for all servers (except maybe some clan private map), as so, i believe that all defrag mappers should map for all defrag servers, and, as the hungarian server is offline right now, the only defrag server left is the codjumper #1 server.

Map quality is highly based on the motivation of the mapper, his skill, and the time he is willing to spend on mapping, thus, the best maps take some time, and as the defrag map is only public for about 2 weeks now, most mappers havent even started to map for defrag yet.

The only thing i think might be a problem is that only a few people are gonna play defrag maps.

Well, as you might not know, the defrag mod allows you to boost your jump with rockets, and thus, maxheight isnt known, as it depends on rocketing skill, timing and fps.

Im not trying to make any enemies with this mod, im just trying to improve the current mod just like the projumpers mod was compared to the original jumpmod. Only difference with the hungariandefrag mod is that im willing to share source code. If caspi wants to run this mod on his server, i would be pleased to give him the source code of the newest version which he is allowed to translate to hungarian as long as my name is still somewhere visible. I will continue the developing of the mod until im either bored, demotivated or out of ideas.

Mod update:
Mod now has:

-Bunnyhop support :D (with cvar)
-Boosting of low fps to 333 heights (also with cvar)
-Finish times
-Records (delete on map_rotate/map_restart)
-New skins (not my own-no credit plz)
-Fps icons
-Fps forcer
-Bonus points on finishing map
-More bonus points on making a record

Mod is now almost completely localized.

Still searching for beta testers, as the mod is still a beta.

-add the portal gun to the mod

Well, as there are not much people interested in this mod, it kinda drains away my motivation for fixing any new stuff for this mod....
You and smokey are the only guys that bug me on xfire about updates for this mod, so, not much interest is shown :(

Even on modsonline only one guy replied asking what the use of "starting to jump until you reach the end" actually is : ((((

and, as the "load on spawn" is not that much a feature i would use myself (as i barely play any defrag anymore, as i already finished all maps in record times, as there are not much maps for defrag, as there are not very much players, so there are not much mappers busy for defrag)(well, quite sums it up i guess) im not in a hurry to implement it.

Even the codjumper server which runs V1.2 or sumthing is not crouded, well, demotivating...

You're mapping/modding for a game released 5 years ago, and then aiming that are a very tiny majority of gamers (jumpers) and expecting a return of mor than a handful of people. Its a great concept but without a FULL SDK where you can actually do some serious hard-modding, the appeal is very small.

Smallish kick with some screens, and, a public beta1 from v6 of the mod.

Features:
-No red when taking damage
-Removed shell shock
-Save position mod
-Antiblock mod
-BUNNYHOPPING MOD! (cvar enable/disable)
-Boosting of low fpsses to 333 heights to give players on low pcs a chance too (cvar enable/disable)
-Map records +bonus points for finishing
-Deaths dont affect score
-Many more cool features...

The mod needs to be run from a dedicated server (Lan/Internet), as dedicated 0 causes problems when writing some cvars. It will run, but it wont give you the full defrag experience.
