Map darker on screenshot then ingame

Post by <LT>YosemiteSam[NL] » August 18th, 2010, 12:10 pm

When I play my map the lighting is ok and pretty bright.
But when I take a screenshot, the screenshot is way darker ?
Does anybody know what causes this ? Worlspawn maybe ?

If I set the gamma to 1 it doesn't change anything.
I think it has something to do with the worldspawn setting but then you would have the same brightness ingame.
Verry strange problem.

Here it is;
I think the sunlight fouls it up but it's a totaly indoors map...does the sunlight still influence the brightness in that case ?

Sun direction looks totally wrong.
Try, "-45 210 0"
Just to see how it becomes.

Also, are there any leak errors during compile?

take ss's with the print button on your keyboard ^^ people mainly use for taking shots xfire or fraps. i know my advice is like 'if u get any error, go reinstall windows', but i think u are planning to take few ss's, so just use either print screen button or custom soft.

Not to my knowledge but I'll check when I get home today.
And try that sun direction thing too.

Up ambient and sunlight values, recompile and check if it's still too dark.

I did that but then the lighting isn't how I want it.
I'll up the gamma a bit, only for my map. After map rotate the gamma will be 1 again.

The majority of people do not play on gamma = 1.

Fix the map, don't use the gamma.
