depends what bitrate you put on. for example 8000kbit/s=1000kB/s=1MB/s 10s is about 10MB

You can just render video and audio together and then convert into Mp4 with these settings in Super converter(thats what i do and i get kickass quality) Image

never did something with that tutorial but for me it just looks like wrong path anywhere.
Try to copy the file "c:\Program Files\megui\tools\x264\eqm_avc_hr.cfg" to "e:\"

Thats obviously your error then :P

It is searching the E Drive for a cfg.

i guess the program (meGUI) found a drive E: when you installed it. You may had an USB Drive(or a phone..some kind of external drive) plugged when you did it. Not sure. Try to reinstall the program

You must be using the wrong render settings in Vegas to be getting that filesize. Most of the videos we upload to youtube are between 300 and 700 MB.

Sounds to me like your rendering it uncompressed. Either compress it when rendering it with vegas, or use a codec (i think thats what they're called?) such as MeGUI to compress it after.

The only way I can think that your filesize is 2GB for a 10 second clip is if your not compressing it. In which base when rendering it with vegas open the render settings and choose render in best quality, rather than render uncompressed.
