And working backwards is TWICE as bad...
All SP maps in non-free roam games are designed to be linear with an idea of small alternate routes, but always with start and foal. MP is free-roam and should be treated differently.

They did an awesome job with Broadcast. It's not a complete SP copy & paste, but it's still one of my fav CoD4 maps.
There's a lot of maps converted from SP to MP. Some were awesome (Dawnville), others were kinda meh (Chateau). But I'm 100% sure that most maps which have been converted are a lot of fun.
Crossfire for example almost looks exactly the same in SP and MP. Maybe less rooms and passages but still. And there's a lot more.
Crossfire, almost exactly the same. Broadcast, everybody knows that building from SP, but it looks totally different.

I agree with Zait on this, sometimes copies from SP still do work nicely on MP (as long as they're modified to some extent, of course).

It's not a copy if they redesign the entire thing, then it's simply taking a locale and creating an environment with some copied prefabs. The best CoD maps out there, Carentan, Neuville, Cassino, Kharkov, Crash, Strike, etc are nothing like their sp counterparts except for some copied prefabs.

Crash was in sp? I know there was a mission with the downed heli but iirc Crash is an entirely new map made from scratch(there's even a video showing the progress from concept art).

Yeh, Crash is no SP map. I can't remember Strike being a SP map again, you must mean Crossfire on that one. Also, Neuville I can't remember, was that a SP map ?

It all comes down to personal preference aswell. Overgrown is a real MP map, but lots of people don't like it while it's one of my favourites.
Still, Crash and Strike are probably the best CoD4 maps.

Crash ftw, crash isn't a SP map. Not sure about Strike.

Honestly I think this game is gonna have a kick but single player but knowing its Treyarch Im not so sure about the multiplayer because like the stuff in world at war like the bounces and stuff were way to easy for me and I dont know what they will do in black ops maybe they will try and fix all these bounces and stuff like have ex bouncers and jumpers u know do it and pay them or maybe not lol just a little outh there haha
Sniping + Jumping = good times

You're talking about jumps in a FPS game. I only care if the game is enjoyable to play. If it adds in some cool jumps, well, lucky us. But that's just a bonus. I just want to play a CoD again I really enjoy (Last one was CoD4, but I found MW2 ok aswell, but lack of clanmatches
)
