Hello all,
Im working on a new jump map, called "Monkeys Home". You can download an test the beta v1 Version now. Pls report all bugs/things you don't like to me (screenshot?). Thanks.

I don't say the typical sentence now: Its my first map, so don't rate to hard.
I think you should rate as hard as possible, coz i wanna finish this map perfectly =).

So now to my map. I made this map in comic style, I know most of you won't like it, but I love it =). Ive deleted the "pulsurate effect" coz i hate it, to blink around while failin on a rpg jump. You have to finish three levels. Maybe its a lil bit short, but if you like it I may add one or two levels for the final version. If you think the map is to easy/hard you have (and thats new xD) the chance to change the difficultly. Add to your command line +set monkey_diff "easy/med/hard", and the map changes its jump distances. But there is also a train mode. You can train jumping, bouncing, climp bouncing and stacking. To get to the train mode add +set monkey_mode "train" to your command line, and youll spawn in an other map. There is also a secret room =), but youll never find it i think. Pls do not run the map on a server till i haven't released the final version, thanks. Pls read the readme.txt.

Okay I'll try it now. But from the looks of it, you overded the colours... If you want red, #FF0000 isn't the only colour you can choose. #990000 is still an okay choice, and it won't much a huge difference due to gamma correction. But it will make a huge difference for the eyes...
Also, all white around it, I hope you made a skybox or something so the light doesn't escape.
And for the commands, could you make a button for it instead of in the console?

I'll go try...

EDIT: I played it, never mind what I said about the colours, it's not that bad. Just the white is very tiresome for my eyes. Also with this white background, I don't have any reference when jumping while looking down. Kinda annoying too. The normal difficulty is about fine.
I'd suggest you add a death trigger somewhere below, no one likes maps where you can keep falling down.
I can see parts of other levels, it confuses me.
I didn't apply the mod file that came with it, since I don't want it on all other maps. Also I got stuck here;

if you dislike the colors, you can make r_colormap 3... help a lot

Could you pls tell me where? Can't find anything.
Also I got stuck here
I fixed the bug were you stucked. Only two digits in the difficultly script. It should work now. Maybe ill load up a working version today.

Okay I completed it now. The moving platform that was out of it's normal location was the object that I saw from level one.
I've tested medium difficulty, because I'm no noob, but I'm not great either. :)
The ladder parts are a bit easy, and even boring - sorry to put it this way. If you need height, then a sloped (sloped like bounces) ladder will get you up at high speed.
Also the last jump (from the ladder), the finish came a bit unexpected. I suggest you make an indication for it, it confused me slightly.

As for the positive comments, I like it how you use a colour-theme through out the level, moving platforms red, bounces green, good idea. The flashing platform slide and the moving platforms that came after it were the most fun part imo.
Also it's possible to walk on the edge of the giant screen at the end, dunno if this is intentional.

Thanks for your help. I want to upload a new Version this Weekend with all bugs/dislikes fixed, that youve reported.

Could anyone help me with a Death Trigger? Im not able to do it.
Already tried a dmg trigger, but as i thought, its not working coz codjumper mod does not allow any damage.
Also i tried a minefield, but nothing is happening.

Could anyone pls help me? thanks

Deathtrigger is easy. Make a trigger multiple. With a targetname:killtrigger_oimel

You do not want to use a trigger_dmg for a kill trigger as the function for that trigger is receiving damage.
What you do want to use is a trigger_hurt, this is what hurts the player.
To make it kill instantly, just select the trigger, press N and add the following values:

Key: dmg
Value: 100

Well I could now print a message for the player to inform him, why he got killed. And tbh I hate killtriggers in jump maps
