Well i got out of the spec ops map hidden and thought i might share it with you

Is it me or is the place outside the map the playground for CoD4 sp?

it is indeed at the end of the video before i fall is where you shoot the guy in cod4 sp level

Quite big for something not meant to be discovered.

the map is pported from cod4 coz they are lazy

See kids, resource managment! Importing a level and not changing a thing is a good idea, it helps FPS and even if the actual playing area is somewhere completley different, still keep the geometry nevertheless! You never know, the player might noclip out of the playng area and if he does(which he won't cause there's no console), make sure you give him something to look at! Ahhh IW you never cease to amaze me with your groundbreaking level design ideas.

Anyone else noticed that a LOT of the inaccessible geometry is actually CoD4 map prefabs?

What we just saw there was Bloc...

There's also a part of Downpour you walk over in the AC130 mission. But that part is actually used, and one of the best Spec Ops missions.

If I had PC version, I would post a comparison of all prefabs used in CoD4, but, you know, red tape and boundaries.

But this Spec Ops map has parts of that CoD4 SP mission. Isn't that the mission where you saved Nicolai or something ? I can't remember.

Anyway, it's just a very small part. And like I said, probably the most fun Spec Ops mission. It's a pity you can't try it out but you would love it if it was on CoD4.
