Well if elevators don't work anymore that means they totally fixed it, not just 'specific ones'.

Any patchnotes since Steam doesn't mention MW2 patches ?

"We just released a PC patch (v 1.0.175), I have production uploading the patch notes to Steam now but for those looking for details, it included the following:

Fix for latest texture hacks

Fix to prevent players from getting inside geo

Fix to prevent players with illegally pirated copies of Modern Warfare 2 from matchmaking with legitimate Modern Warfare 2 players

Connection improvements for NAT-PMP routers

Fix for “elevator” glitch that allows players to get out of playable area."
Good job IW...

Btw there are already new texture hacks wich are working for v 1.0.175

Elevators are not "fixed" it's just that when you stand up under an object it pushes you away. There will never be a "real fix" for it because it's one of the awesomest glitches ever.

Surely that means you can't elevate anymore though, which basically means it fixed ^^

I don't think they consider that a glitch. Their thinking behind that, is that when you pull out a care package, you need to find cover in order to use it. That's why it increases your run speed (to get to cover), but they did not thoroughly test it to find out how people would exploit it, and it doesn't look like they will ever attempt to fix it.

EDIT: I lied- directly from twitter:

@fourzerotwo When is the care package speed thing gunna be fixed? :(

@ademerse I don't have a date for that update, but it will be addressed.

I know the basic concept of a Care Package but everybody knows those cunts only use Marathon, Lightweight Commando Pro and Tactical Knife Attachement with that fucking Care Package. These guys only knife.

The only thing that annoys me when I do play, is the knifing. IW started with the "bash", where is required a close contact (and pistol took a few hits), then they introduced the lunge shit in MW, and now all of a sudden there is a super lunge perk?

Yeh Commando Pro is really good (All others are mostly crap as perk 3). When I don't have Commando (Leveling useless perks) and I try to stab someone it doesn't work because he slashes. No Commando perk enabled. Grown used to it. A good fix would indeed be that a bash kill required 2-3 bashes, but I would be glad if they could totally remove the runspeed now.

Almost every game I join now there's one of those cunts.

Just remove the Auto-aim lunge bullshit and the matches would be somewhat enjoyable.
