I have enjoyed it up until Level 11 so far, but I have a feeling it needs to pick up quickly for me to stay fully interested.

From what I've seen, it looks a bit like the gameplay of Gears of War? Correct me if I'm wrong. I didn't actually play it. I just watched some videos.

Nothing like gears of war.

Borderlands = a mix of Serious Sam, Fallout 3 and your average FPS.
Bought myself the game and restarted, now level 12 and it is pretty fun.

funny game but a little boring because after a while u are seeing ever the same enemies at the same spots ...

the best thing are the jumps :D

u can climb near every building and the most other things hehehe
strafejumping works fine in this game 8)

Strafejumping does not work in this game, it is the unreal engine...

However, bunny-hopping will give you a slight boost in height.

Level 26, and going strong. Very enjoyable.

Simple way to get more height and distance:
Jump a short distance to the edge of a platform, then 'bounce' (bunny-hop). Easy.
