Banning people from driving if they drink drive isn't enough. Ban them from drinking as well. If they don't have the will power not to drink and drive, they shouldn't be allowed either.

Thats the thing. A lot of ppl do not want to do drink driving to avoid fines. While you should not be doing it due to increased chance of (lethal) accidents.

And what kind of increase...

If you see in the newspaper or on the news that there's been a car crash, a lot of times it's a drunk driver.

We sometimes go out with the car aswell. But I wouldn't want the driver to drink, if I would know that in advance I surely wouldn't go. Screw it.

People who drive to a pub and think they'll walk home and get the car in the morning. If they can't be bothered to walk there, chances are they won't care enough to not drive home.

Once I was about 1 hour walk from home, didn't have money for a taxi so I slept in a wooden "home and away box". That's one of the dugout things by football pitches. Worst night of my life. I blacked out in the morning and hit my head on concrete.

Just found an amusing quote which is relevant:

"I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day." Frank Sinatra

You find it amusing to know I also have a favourite alcohol related quote...
The idea that somehow, someday he will control and enjoy his drinking is the great obsession of every abnormal drinker. The persistence of this illusion is astonishing. Many pursue it into the gates of insanity or death.

That quote is soooo true Drofder. But it also depends who's drinking. I would never drive when drunk. Also due to the fact I don't have a license :P But you get the point.

It's a good thing to know that I do control my drinking and I do enjoy it then, isn't it?

Exactly, thats what Ive been telling my parents about my crystal meth use aswell ;)

Nah, hardly anyone who drinks alchohol ends up being addicted, if it is 1% I would be amazed about it.
