Moves to London and already drinks like a chavette, straight from a whiskey bottle.

Common swine, get a glass.

Maybe baileys or similar, but whiskey is a civilised drink, if you can't find an appropriate glass then you shouldn't even have the bottle.

That was correct, although as expected my taste has changed. To be fair, I've mainly drunk alcopops in the past as they're reasonably cheap and actually taste nice. I like beer now, and drink quite a lot of it :) On nights out I tend to get double vodka and lemonade, which I hate, but it's not too pricey and gets me drunk sooner.
KillerSam wrote:I remember him telling me he doesn't like whiskey only a couple of weeks back - yet I have a video of him drinking from a 1litre bottle of Sainsburys whiskey (which he claims he can't remember) :!:
I hate Whisky. The only reason I drink it sometimes is because I have boilermakers, which is effectively half a pint of beer, you put a shot of whisky in it, then you down it. It gets you drunk very quickly and doesn't taste that bad. On its own, I can't stand Whisky, and I was very drunk when I drank it out of the bottle. I remember seeing that on my camera the next day wondering what the hell went on.

I spent 21 minutes taking a photo of something after one night, and only remember being there for about 5 minutes. I've also taken 2 hours to get back home after a night out (which would normally have been a 20 minute walk), and managed to get myself back perfectly safely and have no recollection of how I got back the morning after :P

Good times!

Don't like whisky, I'm more of a wodka one myself. But I don't drink it that often.

Just reading Peds post there, reminds me of current surveys done on "hood-rats", "chavs" and general scum...

Nearly all of the above do not like what they drink for taste, they "drink to get drunk", now explain to me this, what is so fascinating about being drunk, there are very few benefits, and those benefits can be considered downfalls...

So, I issue a challenge to anyone who "likes the occasional drink", to tell me, why so?
Maybe one day, I shall enjoy these not so beneficial benefits and become general scum with you :)

But thats exactly what I am saying, most students and etc, nowadays think being drunk = cool (or whatever). How so?

I know many drinkers, but I do not know one valid reason for drinking. I am just on a quest to find one.

The best answers I get are "happiness", because drinking does cause happiness (usually), but often this happiness is only temporary, once you awake realising whats gone on, its often regret.

Don't, it makes you impotent apparantly :P

Benefits of drinking for me:

- Good social thing to do
- Helps to numb pain
- Gets rid out the taste of parrafin fuel

Tbh I can't think of many legitimate reasons to drink. I blame our culture for why we drink so much!

My reasons:
Social thing.
The taste of a good beer on times is great. But its mainly a social thing. Anyway, what has this got to do with peds' mouse?

I don't aim to get drunk. I rather stay myself.

But with a few beers or whatever you drink, and you're with friends, you can have a great laugh.

Approx 3 years ago, when I went to school and I had 2 free hours, I went with my friends at my house and we played Mario Kart Double Dash with the 4 of us to kill the time and have a great laugh. A few weeks ago we thought it would be awesome to do what we did many years ago and with a few beers, it's just too funny! :P

So yeh, I drink to have a laugh with my friends even more than normal!

same, I don't want to be so drunk that I can't remember what i'm doing, or throwing up. I've had enough experience of passing out for my lifetime tbh.
