i got a logitec mx lasermouse 
cordless but the thing where it charges is not even 10 cm's away
i got an old rubber mousemath from the simpsons i think its like 6 years now
mouse is 1 and a halve year old
it workes perfectly, never lagg, and the rubber is warm in the winter

my mouse was £15 ($30ish) and it is cordless with 1100dpi so pretty accurate. Also i have a mousemat for 68p ($1.50) and it does the job perfect, very comfy.
