Your image won't load for me Drofder, although if it's similar to its description of 'toecutter013nw' then I think I know what it might look like...
Indeed, 3 years of university, going out twice per week, on a typical night I'll probably drink about 15 units, so that'd 30 units per week.[SoE]_Zaitsev wrote:Doubt in 4 years, I'm not entirely sure. But if you're drinking every day, day in day out... You'll end up like that in no time.

Indeed, that's why I'm right and you're wrongKillerSam wrote:Its called statistics, you study it.Pedsdude wrote:No, it doesn't. A unit takes an hour to filter through your system as it were, so the effects of a night out will have worn out by mid-day the following day.
P.S. I know you didn't mean it like that, but you wrote it in a way which made it seem worse than it is!

21 units per week is the recommended alcohol intake for men. If you are approaching, at or above this level - it's time to think about cutting down.
You are already way over the recommended weekly maximum, maybe instead of statistics you should've studied medicine.

How about those odds now Peds, you feeling lucky?If you drink heavily you have an increased risk of developing:
* Hepatitis (inflammation of the liver).
* Cirrhosis (scarring of the liver). Up to 3 in 10 long-term heavy drinkers develop cirrhosis.
* Stomach disorders.
* Pancreatitis (severe inflammation of the pancreas).
* Mental health problems including depression, anxiety, and various other problems.
* Sexual difficulties such as impotence.
* Muscle and heart muscle disease.
* High blood pressure.
* Damage to nervous tissue.
* Accidents - drinking alcohol is associated with a much increased risk of accidents. In particular, injury and death from fire and car crashes. About 1 in 7 road deaths are caused by drinking alcohol.
* Some cancers (mouth, gullet, liver, colon and breast).
* Obesity (alcohol has many calories).
* Damage to an unborn baby in pregnant women.
* Alcohol dependence (addiction).

I already knew I drink over the 'recommended weekly maximum', it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work that out. I'm not going to be doing it all my life, however, so it doesn't bother me particularly. Clearly, it's doing me no good health-wise, but the enjoyment outweighs the detrimental effects to my health.Drofder2004 wrote:Taken from a BUPA:
