Just had a look at the code, it uses:
"ORDER BY gapRecDist DESC, gapVIP DESC, gapRecRankRef ASC"

I think either Destiny or someone else coded the gapRecRankRef bit, so I'm not entirely sure what it ranks it on other than distance, and the VIP check gapRecRankRef appears to just be a number, but not in the same order as the ID (order of upload).

What you should be more concerned about is why Sam is 19th when he should really be 20th!!!

Regardless, it is what it is, and if you want to go above me then just jump 1 extra unit... how hard can it be?!
