I am using the searchlight model, does anyone know if you can change the path of the light?

Light in general is a sphere (bright in the center, and slowly fading out.
There is a way of doing spotlights, where light is in a straight line, but I'm not too positive how :(

I do not know how to use "spotlights" but I remember reading something quite a while ago you need to link the light to a target and join it (using CTRL+K)... but for that, you may have to get answers over at modsonline.com

If you select your light and press 'n' to bring up the entities, you can click Up/Down etc and angle it, although I don't think that has much affect from my personal experience.

You could always create a light and create a border round it made out of brushes so that it is forced to come out in a line lol, but that would look pretty cheap :D
