I'd rather a sig was unique and badly made than a well constructed, generic sig though.

that's another good point. How many sigs have you seen like these?

and the one I have right now. Now of course I'm not saying that mine are any better than generic sigs or that mine are even really good, but the point is that they are original. They require creativity. I don't sit down and systematically make a signature based on a few preferences. I analyze the render and its source, find a way to create unity within the signature on an artistic level and then execute that concept to the best of my ability. I also don't just sit down and work, if I'm making a LOTR sig I'll watch some LOTR, if I'm making a Bioshock sig I'll play Bioshock a little, and I always listen to music while I make the signature. When I made that tf2 sig above I was listening to tf2 music, techno for strike's, bioshock soundtrack for the bioshock one I made recently, and of course LOTR soundtrack for the LOTR one above. Sometimes, with the case of the guitar sig (evidently Clapton wasn't good enough :P ), it doesn't work out. Other times you get things like above and my current sig. Signatures are like any form of art, anyone can practice and make one, but it takes dedication and creativity to make something that stands out.

Me too. I refuse to use it, however, until Valve mans up and quits underpowering the spy class.

Quit complaining, they made it easier to charge up the cloak meter now.
Besides, the spy is more of a challenge class.

Also, look at this update they rolled out:
Added The Force-A-Nature, The Sandman, and Bonk!
Added 35 new Scout achievements
Added crit boosted on/off sound effects
Added new sounds for upgraded teleporters
Added new sound for a fully charged medic dying
Add bonus points section to scores
Scouts earn a bonus point for killing Medics who are actively healing a target
Added several new speech concepts, mostly hooked up to new Scout lines
Added new "Remember last weapon between lives" option to the Multiplayer Advanced dialog
Spies can now control which weapon the enemy team sees them holding. Hitting the "last disguise" key while disguised updates the disguise to show the Spy's currently held weapon
Added several new Arena mode announcer speech events.
Added "First Blood" to Arena mode
Removed 2x item respawn times in arena
Changed backstab handling to fix facestabs
Spies disguised as enemy team can now see player IDs for enemies
Coding is Poetry. Mapping is Art.

"Changed backstab handling to fix facestabs"

hopefully while they were at it they fixed my backstabs not registering. Besides, I don't care about cloak recharge, I care about the fact that the supposedly underpowered pyro can kill me in half a second and totally negate my class 99.9% of the time. Beyond that, in any given circumstance anything a spy could possibly do can be negated by players who know even somewhat what they are doing. The class is underpowered and the only reason Valve hasn't fixed it is because no one plays spy to complain because it is so god damn frustrating.
