Clippertool

What it does

The clipper tool will split a brush along a single line like using a knife. In 2 point clipping the line is constricted to an X, Y, or Z axis. In 3 point clipping you can make a slanted cut that is asymmetrical but is much more tedious. The clipper tool can be toggled by pressing "X" or in your toolbar.

2 Point Clipping

This is the easiest and most common way to make doors and windows.

1. First select your brush and toggle the clipper tool.
2. Click along the line that you want to split, there will be a blue dot with the number one next to it.
3. Click on another part of the line to connect the two.
If the brush extends past the two points then the line is also extended.
4. Press "Enter" or "Shift + Enter".
"Enter" will keep the shown section and delete the hidden section.
The shown part is determined by where point two is relative point one in a counter-clockwise path.
"Shift + Enter" will keep both sections and only split the one brush into two brushes.

3 point Clipping

1. Create your 2 point clip and keep the XYZ coordinates in mind.
2. Create your 3rd point.
What just happened is the same as 2 point clipping but using 3D coordinates instead of 2D. Imagine the cut being a plane that the 3 points on it.
3. Press "Enter" or "Shift + Enter" to make your cut.
