Practical Jumping Video!

Heya, this is my first video so be nice...

I love all of your guys jumping videos, especially love the ones from atze and louw, was great inspiration to me to start jumping. But while I loved all your awesome jumps, I found that in normal pubs (since I play hardcore) I could never land the jumps. As well, my fps usually doesn't go over 200, so I could never make many of the jumps. No partner either for boost jumping, and can't really rpg in most cases on hardcore - so I couldn't do many of the fun jumps when I actually played normally (hardcore S&D).

So, I decided to make a video of the 'practical' jumps in some of the main maps I play hc sd on, that are able to be achieved pretty fast and in cover most of the time, and can be used strategically to get kills and stuff. The quality is kinda bad when I converted it all to youtube, so sorry about that - otherwise I had a lot of fun actually making the video, as I had never made a video or used Premier before.

So, enjoy - and yeah, I know many of the jumps are 'common', and there are many jumps I don't show that you might think are easy - but instead of recording demo and then frapsing the demo (for max fps) I fraps'd the ingame footage instead, resulting in my fps being almost permanently in the red. This shows that the jumps can be mostly done in smoke as well. As a result, most of the jumps should be landable like 90% of the time (I rarely miss any of these now, crucial for hc sd). So, be nice...

Good video and some very nice practical jumps (some I havent seen before, but to be fair, I barely watch demos )

Anyway, 3 things:

- Less Shooting. Also, Take a gun with a ACOG scope, it will make it clearer as to why the position is "practical". Remember, youtube is a small window, ingame is a big window, use the scope to enlarge what you are looking at...

- Get rid of the torturous music, any longer and I swear I would've slit my wrists...

- Get rid of (or unbind) the nooby "auto-fire", anyone caught using that is instantly considered lame in my books.

Lol, I just had fun making it pretty much, was pickin some random stuff from the HD. And in regards to the 'autofire', I actually use 2 fingers on the mouse1, using a old ball Microsoft Intellimouse with the big buttons. I've been doing it ever since my CS days with the elites and DoD with the carbine.

Nice movie... suckie music (imo) . Its good to see a movie filled with easy to use jumps, just a shame that u didnt show the most usefull jump of them all (pipeline one, from the gasstation to the big roof. Incredibly usefull in search and destroy).
And at the end you say something like: camp your way to glorious victory.. Camping and glorious victory dont go together tbh

Haha, I had the most fun time putting the music in! But yeah, the pipeline gas station jump I can never make =/ Even with normal 250~ fps, I can never make it from the roof to the big roof. Dunno why, but without high fps I can't even get close. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong...

Try jumping with 125 fps instead of 250.. It responds much 'clearer', when I use 250 fps it sometimes works very well and it sometimes works like shit, very unpredictible. 125 fps' performance is very stable.

I have seen some fast fingers, but never to the degree of automatic fire and accuracy (no mouse movement). Sorry if I seem to not believe you, but I have seen far to many of these lame mousewheel cheats that anyone faster than me is a cheat. (Same applies for if they seem better than me, all cheats).

you can buy mice that automatically do a double LMB whilst in a shoot-em-up

Yeh, I know.
You can also download a macro program to simply triple, quadruple, etc click for you with a plain microsoft ball mouse...

It's still cheating.

Well, using the mousewheel isn't really viable, because its pretty unwieldy to accurately aim using the wheel. I use my ring finger on the mouse2, non toggle aim down the sights, and 2 fingers on the mouse1. And as well, I play sometimes on servers that I've seen ban people for using scripts on their mouse.
