Don't read comments so I don't care about the comment change. It can hardly get worse from what the last system was.

Main change is it requires Google+ to post a comment now for obvious promotion reasons because Google+ failed. Basically forcing it on people. A positive result should be it makes it somewhat personal and perhaps people think about what they comment.
I guess what Zait is talking about it orders the comments differently. Not 100% sure about this but I believe they give priority to users with a lot of people in their circle or have a lot of subscribers and have some algorithm to take up votes into account.
So instead of just having the 2 top comments as before all the comments are mixed up. Posting a comment can result in you landing on the 10th page straight away.
