My Origin Account just got hacked

I rarely played games in the past few month but when in tried to play a match in Fifa 11 i was surprised as it said
"Unknown EMail/User". I thought its maybe a serverproblem and, gladly it support offline matches, i played a friendly match against the PC but thought theres something not allright.
After that i tried to login into Origin and it said the same oO. Then Battlelog...same
Long story short i called the EA Support via phone(after 10 min waiting which seems to be normal if you earn 100 million $ a year) and they restored my old Account.
I still dont know how this could happen. My Friendlist was cleared except one guy, but i deleted him.
My Name was VertixHacker and i have a Hotmail Adress -.-

Just tell you the story bec i dnt trust anything anymore
