Help? Getting new Graphics card! ||-URGENT-||
Well you see, I not long bought a new computer....
Specs that i know off:
-MOBO:GA-M68MT-S2P
-CPU:AMD Phenom II x4 850 3.3GHz
-RAM:8GB 1333MHz (not sure what make, maybe kingston?)
-GPU:ATI radeon 5450 1GB (not a recommended buy!)
That's what it came with and i'm planning to upgrade my GFX card to a ATI Radeon 6850 1gb... I really need to know if i can get 125 - 250 - 333fps Stable (doesn't matter whater settings i have even if it's the lowest) so like it isn't constantly bobing up and down...
Also should i get a new CPU cooler because the cooler i have now is really loud, well make a fair decent noise and i'm not sure if it's doing the job because my computer is reaching 50c.
NOTE: just messaged the owner (whoever) made my computer and he said i got to upgrade my psu to a corsair 500w PSU.... in total for around 170-180 pound... for a corsair 500w PSU with the ATI Radeon 6850! SHOULD I GET IT????

with those specs, i really think that even the 5450 will get 333 on yitch3 config (lowest settings) and a low resolution. (at least on codjumper servers) with the 6850, you may be able to reach 333 on pubs, at least 250. And for codjumper probably looking at 600fps+ depending on the config. maybe 1000 on lowest.
Re: Help? Getting new Graphics card! ||-URGENT-||
I doubt you'd reach 1000 fps .
500-700 is most likely.
Good enough for CoDJumper though, so imo go for it.

!!-URGENT-!!
Now i found that a ati radeon 6850 will do very well from what people have said in the last post, just wondering what a ATI 6770 would be like?
Because i am able to get a ati radeon 6770 1gb in the next couple of weeks including a corsair psu.... i only haver 110 pound atm.. and i dunno if i should wait until christmas and get a money of relatives.. I might have enough by then... to get the ati radeon 6850.. or should i get the 6770 1gb because tbh i'm looking for a graphics card that will do the job on any settings and just to be abele to get stable fps on cod4?
---DOESN'T MATTER--- I'M JUST GONNA SAVE UP FOR 6850

Re: !!-URGENT-!!
First off all, you didn't had to make a new thread, since you allready had one about this subject.
Second, I'd say save up for the 6850.

With your current pc you can get pretty easy stable 250 with yitch 3 cfg. Even I get solid 125 in pub (if it isn't to crowded) with my ati hd 2600 dual core 2.67ghz and 2 gig ram. For cj server your current pc is more then enough to get 333fps

Re: Help? Getting new Graphics card! ||-URGENT-||
Your right, i just reached about 500fps.... But i still need an answer for a ati radeon 6770 1gb? anyone know how that will perform because i'll be oniest, i'd rather get the ati radeon 6770 in the next couple of weeks rather then waiting to buy a ati radeon 6850 if it's only gonna be a slightly better performance?

Radeon HD 6770 vs Radeon HD 6850 :

So as said before, save up for 6850.
