Option 3: Every month you have to save $100. After 12 months you can pay for it, because that type of screen is already one year older so the price went down with $300.

Because if you do not get it now, you don't have anything for 12 months?
Over 18 months, $212 is a very little amount of extra money to pay ($11 a month).

Option 1: Spend $100 dollars a month (over 8 months) and own a product BUT end up paying more
Option 2: Do not own any product for ~16 months.

People buy with credit because of 'time to save', sometimes you want something NOW and not when you can afford to have it.
The idea of paying extra for something may sound stupid but some people cannot live without certain things, and if you cannot afford something now, credit gives you an option.

Again option 3: Make sure you have enough money on your bank account in case something might brakes down so you can buy a new one.

I really do wish your options, were options a normal person could choose, I would be so happy to have all my possesions and then an equal value available as balance.

The majority of the population of the major countries are using 'credit'. Some people use credit, some people use hire purchase or layaway.

Just because people use credit doesn't mean it's the best move. Credit is one of the most dangerous things in modern economics.

I am just not used to that way of buying things. Because my parents always save up for thinks if they want something new and they also teach me that. Anyway, different people, different choices.
And what is your opinion about a normal person? Are you thinking about a certain cash flow each month? Because people with a low income should better save up for a tv screen instead of buying one that way. It isn't an essential life supply. But that is how I see it. I have a low income myself but I live at my parents house. So all I need to do is make sure I got enough money for the weekends and try to save a bit if possible :)
