Anonymous vs Facebook

Post by TheduckerZz » August 10th, 2011, 7:55 pm

Is this going to be a no show on Anonymous part? Why advertise two months in advance? Isn’t that giving away their element of surprise? What do you guys think about this everything :?:

Looks faked, and seems unlikely that they would target a website that so many normal people (themselves included, most likely) are dependent on.

Regardless, I doubt they'll be able to defeat such a large and profitable organisation full of extremely intelligent coders.

Supposably, its legit... but lets be honest... I fail to believe it will do anything (at most an hour of downtime...)

Not to say, I wouldn't like to see them do it :)

PSN and British Police are hardly renowned for having some of the best website coders in the world, though. Facebook is, especially given their ongoing and continuous focus on privacy and security. I just think it's extremely unlikely Anonymous will be able to do anything to Facebook other than a minor amount of downtime at very best.

Facebook ruins communication? Hell no, it's exactly the opposite.

I mainly use facebook to stay up-to-date of band's progress. It's a great tool for that. Some people use Facebook like Twitter and shit, but I don't give a fuck about such services.

Lulzsec is a bunch of scriptkiddies.
that's a nice pic and all, but out of all the pictures you could have taken why'd you take a picture of a plant? :P
-Soviet
Because plants have some really small details. If a plant comes out nice in a photo, you have yourself a good camera ;)
-Drofder 2004
Yes, but if boobs come out really well in a photo you have a picture of boobs

Lulzsec is a bunch of scriptkiddies.
Scriptkiddies who managed to cause £175 MILLION in damages?
When was the last time you saw that happen?

The term scriptkiddie has been lost to morons who think hacking is breaching systems using high-tech devices, connecting through 10 different infected PCs and racing against the clock until the anti-hacker security spots them...

Lulzsec members were crackers, they accessed systems by going around the security. (There may have been a few little scriptkiddies with the, but there were certainly some smart ones in there too).
