Help please
Hi
I have problem when I try to run my map. When I press "Run selected map" in the compiling tools, it runs the map just like it's supposed to. But when the loading bar loads up, it instantly starts loading one of the stock maps (usually Backlot).
Can anyone tell me how to fix this? I was using this guide for help: Click
Thank you

Re: Help please
What gametype are you testing your map under and do you have spawn points for that particular gametype?

Re: Help please
Oh my god am I an idiot
I forgot to add spawn points
Thanks for reminding me Rezil
Edit: I made spawn points but it's still the same and I am using spawn points for correct gametype (TDM in this case)
But I did notice something I don't quite when I press the "Build Fast File" button.

Re: Help please
Add both TDM and DM points.

Thanks!
it works now. But there is another problem now. When I'm ingame all I see is pure whiteness and my model is kinda rainbowish...

Re: Help please
Custom textures don't load when you test the map from the Compile Tools. Try loading the map from a mod(with the .ff and .iwd in the usermaps folder).
You need a lightgrid for the models to be lit up properly. Find a tutorial about it on the RGN Wiki.

Re: Help please
Well I added lightgrid but it had no effect at all. I still see only whiteness and my model is rainbowish.

Re: Help please
Everything is white because custom textures don't load when loading your map with the Compile Tools.

Re: Help please
I did not load the map with compile tools. I went into the game like I normally would and used /devmap mp_mapname

Re: Help please
Add some reflection probes aswell if you don't already have them. And make sure they are above any light grid textures. That'll help with the rainbow hands.
Re: Help please
I did load the map under a mod. I also added a reflection probe above all light grid textures. But the result is still the same.

Re: Help please
Post your worldspawn settings, I am guessing you have created an insane amount of light.

Re: Help please
All I created was a closed room, with some gaps, added 3 lights, light grid, player spawns and a reflection probe. Nothing else. I'm keeping it simple (I think) because I just want to test it.

Re: Help please
For the 3 lights you added, did you make the radius too big so it covers the whole room? Unlikely, but possible..Bloo wrote:All I created was a closed room, with some gaps, added 3 lights, light grid, player spawns and a reflection probe. Nothing else. Also, you need a worldspawn. Here is a tutorial:
