Actually, you get
* Improved Vehicle Armor - Pretty self explanatory.
* Supreme Vehicle Firepower - Additional weapon mounts for the driver.
* Vehicle Motion Sensor - Locate enemy units in proximity to vehicle.
* Tracer Dart Pistol - Attaches to any vehicle "to track, lock on, and fire rockets onto moving targets even beyond line of sight"
for the same price. I'm not sure if it's worth it though...

I personally don't like gaining advantages when you pre-order.

I didn't know about the advantages, but I'm pre-ordering because it looks like a very nice game so far. I don't see a reason as to why I shouldn't pre-order, and I've only had good experiences with pre-ordering in the past. When I pre-ordered WaW, I got it on the day of release in the mail, and I had no trouble at all.

I'm not saying you shouldn't pre-order but my opinion is that pre-ordering a certain game shouldn't give you advantages. That's unfair tbh.

The only trouble with that scenario is you got a shit game.

I usually only pre-order if there's a reasonable discount, or simply for convenience. As for the game, I will be watching this one.

I preorder at Game all the time.

Cost = zero
Benefit = Reward points

(My brother 'purchased' MW2 using reward points and still have £30 left)

Agreed on that.

My main reason for not liking Pre-Order is that generally (at least in the UK) you are unlikely to get it any earlier. Also because the game is amazingly unlikely to be sold out to the point that you can't get it in shops there is really not a lot of points. I have pre-ordered in the past, had to wait several days for the game even when I can see it in the shops down the road from me. At least when you don't have it ordered you have the freedom to get it from elsewhere if you see it there sooner or cheaper and you are not tied to the retailer.
I think the whole point of a pre order is that you get it day 1..... I don't know how things work there but here, at EB anyway, they hold the game for you for 48 hours.

Update!
repii wrote:The tools that we have to develop BC2 simply doesn't work in a mod environment, requires a studio infrastructure of caching servers and huge amount of data that isn't practical to release. So no, there won't be any Mod Editor for BC2.

Player count will most likely be hard-coded, esp. as you are running on servers that are ours or of from our trusted partners that are load-balanced to fit the max number of people.
No Mod tools
No 'Player Run' servers.

Another game that will fail the competitive communities.

I see where you are coming from but the beta is out in a short while so atleast we have a chance to test it out.

Game was fine, but the fact there will be no mod tools means things will be limited. The game will be fine yes, but the longevity and the competitive side, not so.
