SKINS: easy IWI Previews

Post by ultralala » October 22nd, 2009, 8:12 pm

I created a little IWI-viewer. U only drag&drop the *.iwi from Winrar straight to the viewer. Tbh i could do it better but i didnt have any proper programming software atm. And the step backwards to DOS was really enjoyable.

This can be a result: http://screenshot.xfire.com/screenshot/ ... eea8a1.png

i did the batchfile...not the viewer :D

ITs a good idea, why not do this inside a VB.net app?

You could then add the option to convert to dds and back?

u may have noticed that the way how to pack/unpack is copyright-protected and obviously impossible to do it for a single person like me? Finally i made it easier. So if i use it as library instead of .exe i written my own program?

I thought you have maybe written an own library to read in the files etc. cause that would've been really interesting though - it's no offence :) It works and that but I am interested in the things behind and in the format.

Not a skin editor, a skin viewer.
A simple directory based app.

Image on left, directory box on right.
Click on left iwi, picture loads in left image box.

I would look into it myself, but I don't skin often enough to require it. Just an idea :)
