What point? Welcome to Edinburgh, Rince. Good to have you aboard. Although you are arriving at a time when that bunch of morons in the government have decreed that there should be no more smoking in pubs/clubs and restaurants - March 26 is D Day. You looking forward to sampling some of our home-cook...

Sorry to go against the tide of public opinion but unless the little fuck-wit is actually damaging the site with his hacking chums, then I am all for free speech! Let him have his say - if it's so ridiculous, then he will be shot down in flames. Apart from anything, I liked it when your boy Rince ha...

Luke, you win, man!

We are all still waiting for a proper tutorial of your new jump method.

When I was learning what was what, I viewed some of your old jumps - what a mess!

Now its a lot more pretty, so spill the beans or else noone will bother to try your new maps

Superb!

Very well played, Rince! How the hell did you manage to do that? Quite frightening, really - can you do that to anyone?

I have seen a few posts from Bag-Pussy. Hopefully that will shut the little prick up for a while. You had any response?

Luke Are you going to give us the demo and/or detailed explanation of this new technique? All joking aside, I am very keen to learn how you do it. If you were to post something, we could all have a look and quiz you via the forum for any further explantions - you certainly make it look easy - althou...

And yes, please do attempt to spill the beans on your technique.

Yeah, sorry Drofder but simple guide, that aint! I am completely computer illiterate and don't have a scoobie what you're going on about - although I am sure it is extremely comprehensive. I used to have a modem attaching directly to the internet which meant I could start a map, hand out my IP addre...

I am not the best at Panzer jumps but getting better. To avoid the timing problem pointed out by Drofder, (i.e. the animation time for firing the Panzer) I have started aiming down the sight - this means when you press the trigger it fires immediately. That jump really is an easy one. I get on wall ...

Peds I get the same problem and it p!sses me off no end. What's more, it used to load in the blink of an eye. I recently reformatted the hard drive, so I doubt that spyware or cluttered drives are the problem. I have always run McAfee and connected with the same cabled router - so that is not the pr...

My little tip for other inexperienced jumpers amongst us is to set yourself up at 45 degrees or more to your intended landing zone, give yourself plenty room, start moving forward, then concentrate on pressing and holding the strafe key (in my experience, it does not appear to matter how long you ke...

Luke Took your tips to the training ground. Did not seem to be able to flick the mouse quick enough to stop me drifting to the side. However, after much experimenting, I sussed out that by pressing the strafe key earlier than I had been previously, I can get the angle and jump straight. My jumping h...

If you like plain vanilla Cod without the extras then, I agree, this game is for you. You'll love the graphics. Personally, I thought UO was an improvement sprinting and cooking off grenades were (IMO) two good additions. The ranking I could live without and artillery could suck, particularly if fri...

Got my copy of CoD2 yesterday. Graphics cannot be faulted - they are superb, although I can only play the game in 800x600 with all settings down low and even then I struggle to hit 50fps and I thought my kit was pretty good - may have to get the 7800 graphics card! However, the gameplay on MP totall...

Brilliant, thanks Luke

I am sure you are right, I used to start and a wider angle but found it more difficult, over time the angle has become more and more acute. I will get practising with the wider angle and see if that helps me glide further.

Cheers for the comments - very helpful!

Sorry, Luke I am not sure how you actually turn the Mods off - there does not appear to be any way of doing that from the main menu. However, I have repeated the exercise with CoD and the only Mods showing in the folder were CoD Multiplayer and UO - both of which I assume are there from the moment y...
